Well, I’ve been seeing this shift since the second installment, but with this release Ratchet & Clank has finally cast all of its platforming aside and has turned into a somewhat repetitive third person shooter.
It’s not bad, but it doesn’t really compare to other games in the genre like Gears of War, and feels both a bit stale and constricting. I liked the series more when they focused more on the platforming.
