I had forgotten how strong the cast in the original Disgaea was, and although D2 felt a bit more like a fan disc than a full-fledged sequel, I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end, and was genuinely impressed by what they did with Etna’s character.
Positive: | Negative: |
Charming artwork | Feels more like a fan disc than an actual sequel |
Cool, unique music | Doesn’t attempt anything new game-play wise |
Extremely likable, quirky characters | Fairly short compared to other games in the series |
Adds a surprising amount of depth to Etna’s character | A bit on the easy side if you have played the prequels |
Interesting plot | Most of side stuff is tedious and extremely time consuming |
Genuinely funny humor | |
Proven, solid SPRG game-play |
