Well, count me surprised — Atelier Ayesha actually has a (kind of) story and even character development. It’s nothing to write home about, but it seems like Gust finally decided to put some (if not much) effort into actually making Atelier interesting again.
Positive: | Negative: |
Beautiful artwork | Some important (but optional) plot points are very much too easy to miss |
Excellent soundtrack | Combat feels almost redundant |
Likable, relatively interesting characters | Crafting is pretty much identical to other games in the series |
Innate charm of Atelier series | Doesn’t attempt anything particularly novel |
