You should read the other two books of the New York Trilogy if you haven’t already.
They are parts of the one whole story that only makes sense after you finish the last book.
In the end, I found it to be the kind of a senseless suspense ride without much point to it, but it was very interesting and pleasant to read. It’s a page turner, but a good one nonetheless.
