If you can stand the abysmal game-play, you might visit one of the most fascinating settings in a game yet, and explore writing that might as well be the finest in the medium. Probably one of the most unfortunate wastes of a good game I ever had the pleasure to read, and torment to play. 😦
I mean, seriously, what’s up with that writing? There are Shakespeare, Leonardo Da Vinci and Nostradamus as characters in this game, and their dialogue actually does them justice.
|Some fairly beautiful hand-drawn environment design||Outdated visuals in general|
|Fascinating setting of alternate history of Renaissance Europe||Story never really comes around to grip you|
|Fantastic writing; the dialogue is so poignant every second line gave me shivers||Ends with a whimper rather than a bang|
|Game-play that’s slightly less fun than repeatedly banging your head at the wall|
