The awesome on-steroids slider gimmick aside, Vanquish is a fairly run-of-the-mill shooter with dull environments, and a story that’s out there with Resident Evil narrative masterpieces. Still, it does its game-play competently enough to be — while not exactly mind-blowing — at least mostly fun from start to finish.
|Some awesome crazy action cinematics||Grey environments start feeling repetitive|
|The sliding gimmick adds some fresh air to otherwise very traditional 3rd person shooter game-play||Story is such a mess it’s almost impossible to follow anything|
|Fast paced, and doesn’t overstay its welcome||Sliding around and shooting robots kind of gets old after a while|
