[Novel] Never Let Me Go (Kazuo Ishiguro)

Never Let Me GoLight-hearted speculative science fiction mostly concentrating on interpersonal relationships and, I suppose, romance in a somewhat peculiar setting. Neither science, nor the relationships, nor the conversational writing style stand out too much, but it’s definitely not a bad book.

Positive: Negative:
Interesting, somewhat mysterious setting, initially at least Conversational writing style offers little opportunity for memorable prose
A few interesting but relatively light-hearted speculative science fiction ideas Characters aren’t particularly interesting
A fair analysis of the relationship of the three leading characters Plot is not particularly captivating
Story is not particularly remarkable in any way
