Light-hearted speculative science fiction mostly concentrating on interpersonal relationships and, I suppose, romance in a somewhat peculiar setting. Neither science, nor the relationships, nor the conversational writing style stand out too much, but it’s definitely not a bad book.
|Interesting, somewhat mysterious setting, initially at least||Conversational writing style offers little opportunity for memorable prose|
|A few interesting but relatively light-hearted speculative science fiction ideas||Characters aren’t particularly interesting|
|A fair analysis of the relationship of the three leading characters||Plot is not particularly captivating|
|Story is not particularly remarkable in any way|
