While Valis might not be the most exciting or radical of Dick’s novels, it’s likely the one that’s best written. Decades of writing experience seep through the flowing, eloquent, snarky prose that makes even stuff like complete madman’s textbook-style reinterpretation of the Bible and laws of nature completely addicting to read.
