Hanasaku Iroha is a slice of life anime about a young city girl forced to move to suburbs to work as a traditional Japanese inn’s serving girl.
Given the fact that I usually hate slice of life shows, I enjoyed Hanasaku Iroha a lot more than I thought I would. I was really pleased that they ditched the usual school-setting and introduced viewers to some mechanics of traditional Japanese inn business, while also giving a glance at the more exotic cultural part of the country.
