Grapes of Wrath (John Steinbeck)

The Grapes of WrathI never knew I would ever be interested in farmer life in early 20th century America, but these characters, man, I still feel as close to them as my real family.

Positive: Negative:
Likable authentic characters Slow pace
Authentic depiction of farmer life during Great Depression Predictable nature of the plot
Thought-provoking on kindness and other individual human values
Abrupt ending
Thought-provoking on impersonal nature of corporate world
